Any necessary remedial works will have been undertaken prior to development; therefore there are no predicted negative effects on soils during construction. However, any necessary remediation of the soils will result in a positive impact on local soil quality. No residual effects on soils are predicted once the Renewable Energy Plant is operational or during the decommissioning stage. Overall the risks to soils and geology are considered not be significant.
