  • The Scheduled Monuments Records (SMR) indicate the presence of one Scheduled Ancient Monument (a Roman Milestone) recorded as being within the study area although outside the boundaries of the development site by around 300m. This Roman Milestone has, however, been removed.
  • One Grade II Listed Building (a post-medieval mid 19th century watch-tower) is within the study area, but outside the development site by around 250m.

  • The SMR search found no Historic Parks and Gardens or Registered Battlefields within the study area.

  • Focused archaeological watching brief will be undertaken during the construction works which involve significant ground excavations. Any archaeological deposits, features or finds identified during the watching brief will be adequately recorded.

  • It is predicted that the operation and decommissioning of the Renewable Energy Plant would have no residual direct or indirect impact on cultural heritage features.
